The original painting was a homage to Brian Jacques, the author of Redwall Abbey, a highly entertaining and vast series of children's books. The mouse is Brian as one of his characters possibly in the middle of writing another cracking story but due to his old age and comfortable chair he has drifted off to sleep. Even though it snows outside, Brian is kept warm and dry by the glow of the fire just out of shot. Chris Dunn Illustration, whimsical animal art.
